My Story

Scent & Story NYC

Perhaps, for me, the combination of the two art forms of perfumery and storytelling was inevitable. The beautiful vials of perfume lining my mother’s dresser that my father always brought from his long and frequent travels abroad as a Navy pilot were an endless source of pleasurable sniffing. To this day, I keep an empty bottle of her favorite fragrance next to my desk.

My mother’s family, large, loving and Italian, had a gift for telling stories about family that, if ever transcribed, I am sure would be bestsellers.

A decade ago, having exhausted the few fragrance courses available in New York City, I headed to the capital of the perfumery world to study; Grasse, France. The journey from then to now with my own fragrance line has been long but rewarding. I hope my efforts can bring as much joy to the wearer as creating them has brought to me.

A painting that I did of some items on my mother’s dresser when she passed away. Her two favorite fragrances are represented by the bottle in front (Bellodgia) and the velvet box behind (Shalimar).
